Devon A. Kinnard Joins Seder & Chandler as Partner

Worcester, MA –SederLaw, one of Worcester’s oldest and most prominent full-service law firms, announces the addition of Devon A. Kinnard as a Partner. Mr. Kinnard brings his specialties in banking, finance, and business and corporate law to complement the already versatile practices of the firm. Kinnard’s return home to practice in Worcester is happening at a very exciting time, as the firm begins to celebrate their 100 th Anniversary.

Expanding corporate and banking transactional practices in the Commonwealth is a part of the strategic focus of the firm’s next 100 years. Mr. Kinnard practices in the firm’s banking, finance and business law areas, focusing on commercial finance and other corporate transactions, including representing lenders, borrowers and other business entities in bilateral and syndicated asset-based and commercial real estate loans; private securities offerings and debt and equity capitalizations; joint ventures; mergers and acquisitions; and other transactions arising out of day-to-day business operations. Devon serves as outside general or special counsel to a number of closely-held businesses, and state and federally-chartered credit unions and banks, in connection with internal corporate, compliance and governance-related matters. He also represents commercial lenders in complex work-outs and financial restructurings.

Devon and his family are active in the Worcester business and charitable communities and deeply committed to the city’s long-term success and continued economic development. Prior to joining SederLaw, Kinnard was Partner in the Banking & Credit and Business Law practice groups at a well-known, mid-sized law firm based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kinnard earned his J.D., ( cum laude), from Duquesne University Law School; M.B.A. Finance ( summa cum laude), from Duquesne University’s Donahue Graduate School of Business and his B.A., ( cum laude) from Clark University in Worcester.
