Paul J. O’Riordan is a Partner at Seder & Chandler, LLP and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Paul practices in the Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Business Law areas. He advises businesses and individuals on many matters, including formation of business entities, succession planning, corporate and financial transactions, and business, personal and estate & trust taxation matters.

In his estate planning practice, Paul drafts wills, trusts, health care proxies, powers of attorney, and other documents for his clients. He uses strategies that defer or eliminate taxes and minimize probate proceedings while ensuring that the assets pass according to the client’s wishes. The estate planning practice includes, when appropriate, estate, gift and generation skipping tax planning, business tax planning, individual income tax planning, and planning to protect assets from the cost of long-term care, including Medicaid. Paul also works with special needs clients and their families to preserve access to public benefits by establishing a special needs trust.

In his estate administration practice, Paul probates wills, assists fiduciaries in performing their obligations to beneficiaries, assists in the funding and administration of trusts and the preparation and filing of estate tax returns.

In the corporate practice, Paul advises clients on the formation of business entities, including, among other entities, corporations and limited liability companies. He provides counsel regarding the purchase and sale of businesses, succession planning, commercial financial transactions and general commercial agreements.
