Kurt L. Binder
Mr. Binder's practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, employment law and general business practice. As part of his practice, Mr. Binder acts as outside general counsel for his clients, including both large and small businesses. He regularly consults on matters involving commercial contract drafting and negotiation, employment policies and procedures, and corporate governance. In addition, Mr. Binder has tried cases in state and federal court before both judges and juries. He has also appeared before various state and federal administrative agencies and has participated in resolution of private sector disputes in both mediation and arbitration.
Mr. Binder is admitted to the bar of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Mr. Binder is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Worcester County Bar Association, where he is Chair of the Corporate/Commercial Law Section and is a member of the Employment/Labor Law Section. Mr. Binder carries Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating of "AV."
Mr. Binder is a graduate of Colby College (B.A., History and Government, 1982) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1986), where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. A Director of the Clark Appellate Advocacy Group and an American Jurisprudence Scholar in Labor Law and Administrative Law. Mr. Binder resides with his wife and three children in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, where he is an active member of the community.
