Howard B. D'Amico Esq.
Howard B. D'Amico has joined Seder & Chandler LLP after a successful 17 year period in which he owned and managed his own commercial law, bankruptcy and business litigation law firm in Worcester and Central Massachusetts.
Mr. D'Amico has over twenty years experience representing national, regional, community and local banks and financing businesses in commercial loan workouts and reorganizations. As necessary, Mr. D'Amico has navigated lenders through all aspects of the commercial workout process, including, Massachusetts Superior Court litigation, including attachments and injunctions for orders to take possession and liquidate. Mr. D'Amico is also an experienced bankruptcy law practitioner having represented clients seeking relief in adversary proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Court including, cash collateral orders and stipulations and other hearings relating to disclosure statement approval and confirmation of Chapter 11 plans. Mr. D'Amico has successfully pursued numerous non-dischargeability judgments in Bankruptcy Court adversary proceedings for clients wronged by the fraudulent conduct of Debtors. Mr. D'Amico has had multiple loan recoveries in excess of $5,000,000 on behalf of his clients.
Mr. D'Amico has extensive experience before the Superior Courts throughout Massachusetts, including Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, Hampden, Barnstable and Suffolk counties. Mr. D'Amico has successful trial experience in the federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts including, the Eastern and Western Divisions of the United States Bankruptcy Court and the United States District Court.
Mr. D'Amico has also had notable arbitration trial success before the American Arbitration Association, including most recently, a defendant's verdict in a $7,000,000.00 international trade claim after a nine day evidentiary hearing.
Mr. D'Amico's business practice extends to representation of local businesses and commercial loan documentation work for area lenders and borrowers. Recently, Mr. D'Amico concluded a major loan closing, involving real and personal property in five states and involved borrowings in excess of $17,000,000.00.
Mr. D'Amico is also committed to his community. Along with his commitment to pro bono legal service, he is a Cub Scouts Leader and Youth Coach in his hometown of Douglas, Massachusetts where he and his family reside.
